Being a young woman with breast cancer poses some unique challenges. It may be difficult to handle these concerns on
your own, even with the most supportive partners, family
and friends. Having a reliable support network of others
who understand what you are going through is vital. By
supporting each other with information and inspiration we can regain control in our lives and the healing process can begin.
When you are newly diagnosed, talking with someone who has been there will help ease your anxiety and correct your
misconceptions. It is helpful to talk with other survivors who can guide you through treatment with advice and information. When the treatment phase comes to a close, it is difficult to get back to life as you once knew it. The support of survivors can help with your emotional recovery as well.
If you are a young woman who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer, please contact the Young Survivors support group for a package that has been created to help support you through your journey.
